I am SO excited to be sharing this with you all today! It’s the start of my latest free crochet along! This is one of my absolute favourite events to host because it’s just so much fun doing this with you and seeing all your beautiful creations. For our new crochet along, I’ve created a crochet boy doll free pattern for us, which I’ve named My Pal Pascal. This pattern was created based on requests from participants in my last crochet along. Since there were so many requests for this new doll and my little boy would appreciate his own cute crochet boy doll, I got to work and My Pal Pascal was born.

This is a relatively easy crochet doll to make as there are no special stitches to learn. The entire project is crocheted using the single crochet stitch and variations of the single crochet stitch like single crochet increases and decreases. This doll makes a great gift for children that like to play dress up with their dolls as the clothing for my amigurumi doll patterns are removable.
I hope you will join us for the crochet along. If you do, you can join The Loopy Lamb Crochet Community Group on Facebook where we’ll be chatting and sharing our progress.
The crochet boy doll free pattern for My Pal Pascal has been split into three parts to make creating him a little more manageable so you can crochet along with us.
NOTE: Although this crochet along has ended, Pascal lives on as a free crochet pattern here on the blog so you can still make your own handmade crochet doll any time you’d like. Please reference the posts below for each part of the CAL below.
- Part One: Legs, Body & Head
- Part Two: Arms, Nose & Hair
- Part Three: Shirt & Pants

Before we get more into the pattern, let’s talk about My Pal Pascal. Like my My Dolly Molly doll, is a crochet doll with clothes that are removable. For the crochet along, Pascal’s pants and shirt are made as separate pieces and can be removed and put back on the doll.
My Pal Pascal was designed in a way that minimizes sewing. The doll’s head, body and legs are all crocheted in a single piece. The arms and hair are made separately and sewn on. His clothing is crocheted in a separate piece and as mentioned above, are removable. There is some sewing for the shirt in order to fasten the button but that was unavoidable in order to make the shirt removable.

What Yarn Can I Use For This Doll?
I designed this doll using my favorite yarn, WeCrochet Brava Worsted Weight. I favor acrylic yarns over cotton yarns for dolls because they tend to be cheaper, more accessible and easier on your hands. You can use any worsted weight yarn of your preference for this project however, as long as you can match gauge with them.
