Every year for Halloween, my husband and I love to carve pumpkins for our porch. We like to do different types of carvings that aren’t the typical pumpkins you see on someone’s porch. We’re definitely no carving artists but we can hold our own. The kids always want to do a dinosaur or something from their favourite shows. My husband and I tend to pick things that are weird, geeky and fun. When I told my husband that I wanted to find a crochet pumpkin carving stencil online for my pumpkin this year, he said something about “going too far” and “that’s just weird”. Looking online, the results that came back were very limited and by limited, I mean non-existent.
Well, if I can’t find it, I’ll make it. And so, I set out to make my own crochet-themed pumpkin carving stencils and I decided to share it with all of you. Hopefully I’m not the only one out there looking to share their crochet love in pumpkin form.

To get your own free crochet pumpkin carving stencils, click on the link below image you want to use below to download it. You’ll need to have an a PDF reader to open it. Once it’s downloaded, print it out. Pin it to your pumpkin and carve along the lines for the crochet hooks. For the yarn ball, you can either cut on the inside of the lines (leaving a small piece of pumpkin in between) or you can scrape/etch that section off which leaves a translucent orange shade.
