How do you Crochet a Doll Backpack?
This crochet mini backpack is made in one piece and the only thing that you’ll need to sew on are the buttons. It’s worked from the bottom-up so. we will start by creating the base and body of the bag, adding the straps and then the lid/flap of the backpack.
After creating the lid/flap of the backpack we’ll weave in our ends and sew on the buttons to the front of the bag.
How to Make a Crochet Mini Backpack Keychain
One of my testers made a great suggestion on how you can use this pattern for something other than dolls – add a keychain! If you use bigger buttons and add keychain hardware to this project, you can turn your crochet mini backpack into a keychain. I haven’t included these in the materials list but if you’re wanting to make a keychain version, you’ll need: Keychain hardware, a split ring and, a bigger button size that fits your back pack fastener loops snuggly.

- Most of the pieces are worked back and forth in turned rows, unless noted. Read instructions for each piece carefully before starting to crochet.
- For pieces worked in continuous rounds, a stitch marker is used to marker the first ST of the round and is moved up in each consecutive round.
- CH 2 in Round 6 of the body of the bear counts as a ST.
- You may need to fold down the ears of the bear for it to fit into the advent box.
