It was so hard to keep this a secret but I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve written my first book, Crochet Furry Friends and it is out now! This new book contains 12 of my cutest furry amigurumi friends to date.

Available Supports in Crochet Furry Friends
The book includes invaluable tips for working with this yarn type. I have even included a guide to buying fun fur yarns (page 10) to help set you up for success before you even start making your own fun amigurumi animals.
The stitches and techniques sections (pages 14 – 29) cover the stitches and techniques used in the book. The stitch guides include step-by-step instructions as well as photos. This section has been done using smooth yarn for maximum visibility so you can master the techniques before using the fur yarn.
After covering all of that, you’re ready to dive into making some cute cuddly toys!
When starting out, I recommend starting with toys like the teddy bear or the sheep which are made using just the furry yarn before jumping into making the toys that are a mix of faux fur yarn and smooth yarn.
All the crochet patterns include the exact materials that I used (even the exact colors of the safety eyes – generously provided by Chateau Bornais Crochet) so you don’t have to search around for something similar.
I’ve designed these toys to use simple stitches so if you know how to do the single crochet stitch, you already have the foundation needed to get started with these fun patterns. Skill levels are listed at the beginning of each pattern and range from Easy to Advanced.

Thank you to the following yarn companies and craft companies for supporting me in this journey by providing tools and materials for me to create the faux fur amigurumi animals in this book:
It was an honour to work with Search Press to create this book. They helped me bring my love of crochet to life on the page and I am so grateful for that.
