For this review, I checked out the Vixen, Lamb and Chick colourways of Snuggle Puff. If you’re wondering why I chose those colours, its because I wanted to use this yarn for a very specific pattern that I had in mind. Anyways, Snuggle Puff is a roving style Pima Cotton/Nylon blend yarn that is absurdly soft and light. This yarn is is so soft, you barely know you’re holding a strand ot it. It is INSANE and I am here for it. I literally have to hide this yarn from my daughter because she wants to cuddle it because it’s so soft.
Working with this yarn is fantastic. It’s seriously like working with a cloud. It’s light, super soft and a little fuzzy. I meantion this because, as a roving style yarn, this does have a bit of a halo. Yarn with a halo tends to pill. That’s not a deal breaker, just something to keep in mind when choosing projects to make with this yarn. I actually designed an amigurumi toy with this yarn and haven’t really experienced any pilling yet but I think the tight stitches help keep that pilling from forming. It creates a beautiful and soft fabric in my amigurumi project and you just want to keep touching it. So far, I’m loving it for amigurumi. As delightful as it would feel next to skin, I don’t think that I would use this for a garment due to the possible pilling but a garment or small item for a baby would be perfect for Snuggle Puff.

Below you can see my swatch in the colourway Chick. As always, I started with single crochet, worked into half double crochet and ended with double crochet stitches. I did this swatch in a 5.5mm hook. Because it’s a roving yarn, there were no plies to split while I crocheted so it was smoothe sailing the whole way through.
I love the way that my Snuggle Puff amigurumi project worked up and I’ll likely use this yarn for another amigurumi project in the future.
