It is finally summer and makers are looking for beautiful, light and airy crochet garment patterns to keep them cool in the heat. The Crochet Foundry Magazine Summer 2021 Edition has just been released and we’ll be taking a look at the magazine and thanks to our friends at Furls Crochet, I have a copy of the magazine to give away to one lucky winner.

If you aren’t already familiar with Crochet Foundry Magazine, it is a size-inclusive crochet garment magazine featuring indie designers, passionate about creating crochet garments accessible to all the available clothing sizes, including plus size (XS to 5XL are the sizes available). In the fall, I got my first chance to check out Crochet Foundry Magazine and was really impressed (check out the detailed review HERE). The Winter 2020 issue, was a great edition, full of size-inclusive designs. The Crochet Foundry Summer 2021 Edition features designs from some new designers not included in the Winter edition so I was excited to see what these new designers were bringing to the magazine. The designers in this edition are:
- Pam Stack
- Lorene Eppolite
- Briana Kepner
- Michelle Moore
- Liliana Buce
- April Gopwani
- Ashlea Konecy
- Crystal Bucholz
There are a total of 9 different crochet patterns in the Crochet Foundry Summer 2021 edition – 8 summer crochet garments and a bonus accessory pattern for a beautiful pineapple stitch wrap. The patterns included in this edition are:
- Gum Drop Pullover – Michelle Moore
- Lollipop Summer Cardigan – Briana Kepner
- NonPariels Summer Tank – Lorene Eppolite
- Vanilla Frosted Skirt – Pam Stark
- Coconut Cupcake Cover Up – April Gopwani
- Vanilla Dreamboat Top – Crystal Bucholz
- Perfect Parfait tank Top – Ashlea Konecny
- Flounce Top – Liliana Buce
- Boho Pineapple Wrap – Briana Kepner
The designs in the Crochet Foundry Summer 2021 Edition are beautiful. I particularly loved the Gum Drop Pullover by Michelle Moore, which is made all in one piece, which is always a big win for me. The less pieces I have to make, the better. I also love the WeCrochet Hawthorne yarn that she used for this design so I know this sweater would be dreamy. There are a variety of fun styles and the patterns are straight forward to understand.
Try my Comfy Spring Cardi free crochet cocoon cardigan pattern that’s available in sizes XS – 5XL which is a great transitional piece to add to your wardrobe.
The yarns in the Crochet Foundry Summer 2021 Edition are all from our friends at WeCrochet and I love that the designers include alternative yarns that can be used for each design based on the maker’s budget which helps make yarn substitutions simple. I enjoyed this edition of Crochet Foundry and if you’re looking for a great collection of summer crochet garments patterns, there are a lot here to keep your hooks busy.
